Theme:
Luke 9:23- Then he said to them all, "If any want to become my
followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross daily and
follow me."
Group Purpose:
To educate college-age students on the true desires of the heart, the
desires that are explained to us in scripture, not the fleshly desires
that the world has laid out. To help them create and
sustain an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ and to give them a
place of shelter from all of the evil things they are surrounded
by everyday. And lastly, to set up evangelistic relations with
college campuses, military bases, and to be involved in common
college-age activities in the area.
My Focus (Colin):
To teach the inerrant word of God in a way that is understandable
but still challenging for the students. To be approachable,
flexible and availiable for the students so that I can meet as many of
their needs as possible, while at the same time pursueing whole
heartedly the vision that God has laid out for the ministry. To
remain humble and learn from the students and the staff around me while
continuing my personal study and prayer times.
